Otis adopted by Maryann on 12/04/2010
Otis has pretty much become the light of my life. He has the personality of an old wise soul mixed with the hysterics of a giant puppy. He loves his dog siblings and pretty much any other dog that he meets from tiny to huge. He’s quickly become spoiled and expects 4-star treatment including being lifted (and he’s no lightweight) on the bed every night. He has taken up several hobbies, including WWF wrestling with his pittie brother Rulon, sleeping on top of me in the recliner (which will soon probably break under our combined weight and has developed a strange clothes fetish where he collects everything he can reach. His current favorite thing to do is to spread my bras throughout the backyard when he gets to go in and out of the house when I’m home. He’s a great addition to the family and although my walls/furniture/clothes/etc are now speckled with slobber, I wouldn’t trade him for the world. Thank you, DFW Humane Society!

Luna & Brina adopted by Jacquelyn on 08/15/2015
I adopted Luna and Brina (formerly Sugar and Spice) from the DFW Humane Society during their “Clear the Shelters” event in August of 2015. As you can see, they have settled in nicely; practically making themselves right at home from the moment their carrier doors were opened. This is a picture of them with/on their Christmas present. Having just turned 2 years old, they are still very “kitten-ish”. Every morning, between the hours of 6:00 am and 8:00 am, they can be found racing through the house at top speed! After that, it’s bath time; where they take turns washing each other and then themselves (trust issues – they don’t believe the other can clean as well as them? LOL). Then, it’s naptime for the rest of the day. Playtime begins again after us humans eat dinner; where they will chase the red dot for as long as it takes to catch it (they never have though!). We love these two knuckleheads and couldn’t imagine our lives without them! :)

Bunker adopted by Mariesah on 05/20/2016
Bunker was adopted during the annual Pet Pawlooza and I am so happy to have found him! I like to think he chose me because he fits perfectly into my family. He loves playing at the dog park with other dogs but he also craves human attention. He thinks he’s a giant lap dog. Bunker is even great with my 10 month old nephew. Thank you DFW Humane Society for helping me rescue a great pup!

Bailey (fka Baby Girl) adopted by Bill & Jane H on 12/10/2015
Bailey (previously known as Baby Girl) is about one year old and as sweet as can be. She love people and wiggles her entire body when we return, even if we’ve been gone for only 5 minutes. She loves to show off her speed and athleticism when fetching balls and Frisbees. Even though she weighs close to 50 pounds, she thinks she’s a lap dog.

Chloe (fka Sheba) adopted by Tracey on 11/20/2013
Hi!! Chloe (was Sheba) here, I was adopted from the DFW Humane Society on November 20, 2013. I am a super happy girl to be in my forever home. I have two brothers now, one just about 6 months older then me, and I love to play with him. I also like to play ball and play tug-a-war with the toys. I’m still working on learning to go potty outside, but I’ll get it soon my mommy says. I was a birthday gift for my mommy and she loves me very much and could be happier that she finally found just the right sweet girl to join our family. Got to go play now, but can’t wait to hear that all my friends still at the DFW Humane Society have found their forever homes too.

Burberry adopted by Rena on 04/01/2006
My name is Burberry. My mother was at the DFW Humane Society when she had me and my 5 brothers and sisters, back in Feb. of 2006. All of them got adopted, until I was the last one left, on a Sunday afternoon. Then, I met my new mommy. It’s now 3 years later, and I’m loving life. I bring mommy lots of happiness. We go for long walks together almost everyday, play with my toys, and even share some food sometimes. I would like to tell anyone reading this that the DFW Humane Society is a great place to make friends for life.
