Meet Babushka, a 1-year-old Yorkshire Terrier mix who’s had a bump in the road on her journey to a loving home. This sweet girl arrived at our shelter with an abdominal hernia that required surgery.

Thanks to our veterinary partners and support from our Guardian Angel Fund, Babushka underwent a successful $700 procedure and is now in a loving home with an adopter.

After returning to our shelter with wounds that wouldn’t heal, Hershey began a long medical journey that led to a tough diagnosis: a stubborn bacterial infection called mycobacterium. Standard treatments haven’t worked, and now she needs a specialized test to determine which antibiotic will help, costing $1,500.

Hershey is loving, gentle, and a favorite among staff and volunteers. With the right treatment, she can still live a happy, comfortable life.

Buck is our shelter's newest arrival. This sweet boy came to us with a severe and painful scrotal infection that requires urgent surgery.
